Module 1: Introduction to Consulting Essentials
The Frontier Consultancy & Business Skills course has been curated using the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 5 in Professional Consulting qualification framework and is the first module students must complete on their journey to Chartered status. It aims to provide an introduction to the consultancy profession and an appreciation of the wide range of skills & knowledge required to be an effective consultant, no matter your sector, background or industry.
Consulting is an exciting and continually evolving field which offers opportunities to work in a variety of industries and settings; from strategy and operations to more specialised areas such as security risk management, finance and IT. Whilst there are no specific prerequisites, it is expected that most students will be intending to enter into a management consulting role and will therefore hold a minimum of two years business experience or be educated to degree level.
The FCBS course focuses on developing hard and soft skills such as problem solving, planning, negotiations and managing consultancy sessions - enabling you to build successful client relationships.
